Fear, part II

So, following my last post, I had a breakfast conversation with my children. We were talking about what we are afraid of, and I was enlightened. (Let me clarify that I did not pose the question; they were already in the midst of discussion when I sat down & chimed in my thoughts.) Well, someone said snakes, another said monsters, and on and on until I mentioned a couple things.

As I spoke, though, the fear left my mind almost immediately started to create solutions to my fears, some of which were quite complex. I felt amazed how much calmer I was after simply voicing my fears.

So–here’s something for you to try–try voicing your fears. Dig deep. Be real. Speak out loud. See where your mind goes. Welcome the relief that comes. Welcome feeling free from fear. Welcome the joys in your life. Letting go of the fear will make room for unspeakable happiness. I promise. :)
