What if it All Goes Right?
There is a scene in the movie The Way We Were where two of the characters are talking about the best year of their lives. They start with college and then one of the characters (played by Robert Redford) counts forward, each year being chosen as the best year.
I have listened to many people who have spoken about 2010 being the most difficult year of their lives. By using our imagination (see Karin’s Monday post), can we start to visualize 2011 as being the best year yet, then 2012…
Mindy Audlin is the author of a book entitled What If It All Goes Right? She asks us to imagine how it would look if everything we want in life comes to pass. She also explains that we use the “what if” words, two of the most powerful words, in the negative sense and if we change how we use those words, switch to using them in the positive sense, that our life will improve.
“As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he” is true for us all. Even when things around us are difficult, we can choose to see our life in a more positive, peaceful way. What if it all goes right? How would your life look? Today, imagine that in your world all is going right, then help someone else do the same. We will all be empowered by reflecting on the positive aspects and the possibilities of our lives. We will empower those we love. What will happen if we pass this on and on and on? The world will be a better place. Think about it…
